SQIDEP Myth: Maintenance Is Not Recorded During the SQIDEP Testing Phase
Myth Claim: Maintenance to stormwater devices does not need to be recorded as part of the SQIDEP protocol
Maintenance is recorded. SQIDEP (V1.3 5.2.f) clearly states that “Discussion of all/any maintenance activities performed on the treatment measure including, nature, interval, modifications, repairs, replacements, observations.”
Stormwater Australia deliberately plugged potential gaps in SQIDEP by inserting these clauses. These were included in response to industry feedback that a certain TAPE GULD-certified product that was being tested for Basic (TSS) and Phosphorus was being maintained every month during monitoring, yet this was not picked up in the certificate.
